Nature Play & Learn

Mother’s Day Family Tea Party

Join us in the Osceola Garden on Saturday, May 11th for a beautiful Spring morning celebration.

The Greenplay Northwest Play & Learn is a nature-based playgroup for children ages 0-5 and their family, friends, and neighbor caregivers. Together we explore outside, sing songs, share stories and learn through nature exploration and play. We provide a healthy snack and enjoy our outdoor classroom rain or shine!

This program is designed to be an introduction to open-ended nature play with our facilitators acting as mentors, supporting caregivers as they experience the power of nature with their children. Caregiver participation is required.

This is a donation-supported drop-in program, no registration is required.

As affiliates of the Kaleidoscope Play and Learn model, our group is led by trained facilitators who guide children and their caregivers through a variety of developmental activities that promote early learning, and is inclusive of all young children, languages, and cultures.

2023/2024 Nature Play & Learn Update

Greenplay Northwest’s Play and Learn classes strive to connect young children to the natural world.  Our educators provide outdoor play spaces that support creativity, grow confidence and foster children’s connections to animals, our earth and their community friends.

We realize that early learning program tuitions can create an inequitable hardship for families to be able to participate.  The goal of our Nature Play and Learn classes is to provide our community with an affordable outdoor early learning experience where more young children and their families can benefit from time spent in nature.

In order for Greenplay NW to be able to offer these Play and Learn classes in a sustainable way and  lessen the financial barrier so that all may participate, we are dependent on the support of our community donations.  For the upcoming school year (2023/2024), we are requesting that our Play and Learn families consider donating based on the amount of classes attended.  Our suggested donations per family, per class attended is $10.  Any amount given above $10 will cover the difference for other families that may be currently facing financial hardships.

Our team will not ask any questions or request any personal financial documents.  Please give what feels right for your family.  The amount donated to attend a class is confidential and all participants receive the same experience, no matter how much is given.  We trust our families to help us build a healthy, inclusive, nature-loving community.  We will continue to offer these classes for as long as we are financially able to.

If acquiring proper outdoor clothing so that the children you care for are dry and comfortable playing outdoors has created an obstacle for attending our Play and Learn classes, please connect with us.  We will help acquire the needed clothing items.

Cash or checks made out to Greenplay Northwest are preferred for receiving donations during classes.  Donations can also be made on the website at the link provided below.  Greenplay Northwest is a 501(c)3 non-profit organization.  When filing for taxes, please use tax ID #46-4864208.  If you have any questions, please don’t hesitate to reach out to us via email.  We are grateful for your contributions and look forward to seeing you at the farms!

Make a donation.

Greenplay Northwest is accepting donations to help cover the costs for our Nature Play and Learn meetups. Costs covered include site use fees, insurance, equipment/supplies, snacks, educators and administrative costs.
