Frequently Asked Camp Questions

How many children attend each camp?

Each weekly summer nature camp enrolls 10 - 12 children and will have two trained nature educators on-site at all times.

Will my child be outside the whole time?

Yes! We are a full nature-immersion program so we will be spending all of our time outdoors during the camp-day.

Is snack/lunch provided?

For Summer Nature Camps, we provide one snack of a seasonal fruit or vegetable. Families will bring a sack lunch for their child to enjoy at the end of our camp day.

What kind of equipment/clothing must my child bring?

Children must arrive prepared for the weather each day, as we will be spending our time outdoors. Families will receive an email two weeks prior to their camp date with specific instructions about what each child needs for camp.

What if my plans change and I need to un-enroll my child from camp?

With written notice of a withdrawal, families can receive a full refund for camp tuition up to two weeks prior to the start of each camp. Withdrawals that occur within two weeks will not be refunded.

Is there a waitlist for camps that are full?

Yes! You can email info@greenplaynw.org to be added to a waitlist for individual weeks of camp. Please include the following information: name, phone number, email address, child’s name, child’s DOB, and which camp you would like to attend.

  • Creating art using natural materials

  • Learning the language of birds and plants

  • Foraging and eating edible snacks

  • Storytelling & singing songs

  • Hiking through the forests and gardens

  • Playing cooperative nature games
